
Port Harcourt Science College (PHSC)is a new
generation model school.
It was prompted out of a universal demand for a
quality learning centre that is scientifically based.
To set it apart from other colleges, PHSC has
gone a step further to secure and retain a fine crop of qualified,
experienced and dedicated tutors . This model science college started
on the 16th of September, 2002.
PHSC is a co-educational day school with
provision for Junior Secondary 1,2,3, and Senior Secondary 1,2,3. The
maximum number of students per class is 25. Port Harcourt Science
College has fully equipped Laboratory and Library.
PHSC recognize all external examinations such as
SSCE, NECO, JSCE, SAEB etc.
Port
Harcourt Science College is an educational institute that is science
oriented. It prepares students for the following examinations: Senior
Secondary School Examination (SSCE), National Examination council (NECO),
Joint Admission and Matri culation
Board (JAMB), etc.

participated in the International Education Week co-sponsored by the
US Department of Education and Department of State, and co-organised
by the Global Movement Against Violence (GLOMAV) in Nigeria from
the 17 – 21 November 2003.

event was recognised and published by NETAID in its newsletter Connections!

GLOMAV SCHOOL CLUB, PHSC centre
GLOMAV School Club is an association of young people set up by the Global Movement Against Violence (GLOMAV)in schools (nursery, primary and secondary) of every nation of the world, which is aimed at promoting good WORLD PEACE through activities organised by the pupils and students in their respective schools. Such activities include: debates, quizes, essay writing & drawing competitions, drama, etc. GLOMAV representatives in each country supervises the activities and reports to the international office. Inspiring activities accompanied by pictures are displayed on GLOMAV's website - www.glomavworld.com Promising pupils and students can be chosen to attend international trips with other GLOMAV members to represent their country in global events organised every year by different world bodies.
